To reset the service light/indicator on your 2007 BMW X5:
- Turn on the ignition (do not start the engine).
- Press and hold the "Trip" button on the instrument panel until a red light comes on.
- Release and press the "Trip" button again, holding it until "Reset" appears on the display.
- Press the "Trip" button a third time to confirm the reset.
This will reset the service indicator. For resetting the computer after a battery change, follow similar steps.
