For most Ford F-150 V8 engines, regardless of the generation, the firing order remains consistent:
-
4.6L and 5.4L Triton V8 engines (1990s to 2010s):
Firing order: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 -
5.0L V8 engine (2011 to present):
Firing order: 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2
Even though the engines evolved over the years, the firing order often stays the same within certain engine families. For example, the Triton V8 engines follow a different pattern from the modern 5.0L "Coyote" V8 engine found in newer models.
