The last year Subaru offered a manual transmission for the Forester was 2018. Starting with the 2019 model year, Subaru discontinued the manual transmission option for the Forester as they shifted toward offering more CVT (continuously variable transmission) options in their lineup for better fuel efficiency and performance.
