On a Honda Foreman 500, the VIN is stamped on the front side of the frame, under the front fender, directly in the center. The frame has 2 down tubes that come down at a slight angle. Directly between, connecting those downtubes, is a flat metal plate with the VIN engraved on it.
If you still can't find it, this 2001-2004 Honda Rubicon 500 (TRX500FA) OEM Service & Repair Manual does contain illustrations showing exactly where it is.
