First, you'll want to find the MODEL, PRE-FIX, and SERIAL NUMBER stamped on a plate attached to the clamp bracket.
The first 2 of the 6-digit serial number, the second portion of the number affixed to the clamp bracket, are used to determine the model year of the outboard.
