Unfortunately, it's incredibly hard to troubleshoot issues online without being able to run tests of any sort — wires might be skinned somewhere and touching each other; if your vehicle has an alarm system, something might be wrong with that, etc., etc.
Luckily, you should be able to find every troubleshooting and repair procedure you'll need to fix the problem in this 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada Service & Repair Manual.
