Unfortunately, it's incredibly hard to troubleshoot issues online without being able to run tests of any sort. However, since the engine started and ran for a short bit, it's not a problem related to the starting system... so it could be that the fuel pump has stopped, the ignition system might have lost a sensor signal, the charging system might not be working so once the battery was empty, the engine died, a fuse might have blown... etc, etc...
