No — not all Nissan Skylines are manual.
For example, Nissan offered the R33 Skyline with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic. That said, every Nissan GTR or Skyline GTR, again including the R33, had a manual transmission until the last R35 generation, which only had an automatic.
This is probably what's creating all the confusion since most people immediately associate the name Skyline with the GTR. After all, a Nissan Skyline without GTR in its name was always just an ordinary family sedan that nobody would ever notice. Because of this, all non-GTR R33 Skylines had an option of a manual or an automatic with every engine. Different trims available with both transmissions include the GTS, GTS-25, and the GTS-25T — the same goes for the R31, R32, and R34 generations.
After the R34, the names Skyline and GTR were separated, and Skylines became Infiniti models in foreign markets. Still, the same is true for the Infiniti Skylines, with an option of both gearboxes in the V35 and V36, except the last V37 generation, which only had a seven-speed automatic.
