Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, you won't be able to program a new key for a 2006 Mercedes-Benz R350. Indeed, since the key needs to be paired to the vehicle's immobilizer system, programming Mercedes-Benz key fobs require dealer-specific equipment. As a result, you'll most likely have to take a trip to your local dealer to have it programmed.
And I don't want to be a party-pooper here, but if you've bought an aftermarket replacement key fob online, Mercedes could even refuse to even touch it at all. You might be lucky and your dealer might accept to do it, but in most cases, dealers simply don't want to program a key unless you bought it from them.
