Hi!
The "Three Amigos", or TC, ABS, and Hill Descent lights coming up at the same time, are frequently related to worn-out brake pads, which could explain why the condition happens when going downhill.
However, these sensors are well-known for causing the same symptoms due to a wide range of other conditions, including too much brake dust, brake squealing, a bad hub, dirty brake fluid, a bad abs sensor, a bad shuttle valve, a faulty ABS module — hey; even a slightly strong pressure washer could set those off...
In all cases, you'll find everything you need to fix pretty much anything wrong with your Land Rover in this 2006-2012 Land Rover Freelander 2 (L359) Service & Repair Manual, including troubleshooting charts, step-by-step instructions, exploded-view illustrations, and so on.
But I won't lie, this condition tends to be a bit...hum... tricky.
