It could be different things depending on the manufacturer, but as a general rule, a triangle symbol means "warning", while the red color means "stop" — so a red triangle is always a major warning.
It could be related to anything from the brakes, power-steering assistance, traction control, battery (if your vehicle is a PHEV variant), etc, etc. In all cases, though, it means it could be dangerous.
At this point, scanning your vehicle and having a look at the DTCs recorded could go a long way in pointing out a potential culprit.
