If I understand your question well, you mean that you must push the brake to operate the push-start function on your Accord and wonder whether it's controlled by a mechanical or a hydraulic switch?
Unfortunately, we currently don't carry a repair manual for the 2015 Accord so I can't be 100% sure. Still, as a general rule, this function is controlled by the brake pedal switch, which is a mechanical switch sending a signal to the body control module (BCM). Once the signal is confirmed, the module then activates a relay, closing the push-to-start button's circuit and allowing you to start your car.
If you need a wiring diagram to figure out exactly how the system work on your car, don't hesitate to contact us here — we'll try our best to find a repair manual for your 2015 Honda Accord.
