Absolutely — however, it's more like a collection of connected images than a true panorama shot. Indeed, the DMC-FZ35 camera allows you to take several pictures, one after the other, and connect them using "ArcSoft Panorama Maker" software supplied with it.
The main drawback is that it's significantly less "intuitive" than what most smartphones offer nowadays. However, it also offers much greater flexibility when it comes to the final size of your panorama image.
