Luckily, VirtualBox can fix this problem — it’s also completely free, super easy to use, and compatible with Windows PC, Linux, and Mac.
To open your manual, start by downloading and installing VirtualBox for your specific operating system:
Windows - Click Here
Mac - Click Here
Linux - Click Here
How to Import your File to VirtualBox
Once you’ve installed VirtualBox, you need to point it at the virtual image of the manual as follows:
- If you don’t already have VirtualBox open, open VirtualBox player by double-clicking the "VirtualBox" icon on the desktop or in your Applications folder.
- Allow VirtualBox to load and then click File >> Import Appliance
- Click the folder with a green triangle in the new window.
- Find your repair manual, double click the .OVA file and click "Next. VirtualBox will now start importing the file — this step can take several minutes depending on your computer.
- Your repair manual will appear in VirtualBox’s main window when the import is complete.
- Double click your manual’s name on the left and VirtualBox will load it up.
- Once it’s loaded, please open, read, and follow the "Quick Start Guide", which you’ll find on the desktop of the virtual machine’s window.
Additional steps for macOS users:
- The VirtualBox installer will most likely fail on the first try. If it happens, start the installer again and simply go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General -> Allow Oracle.
- Start the installer again.
That’s it — you are now ready to go!
