Unfortunately, it's incredibly hard to troubleshoot issues online without being able to run tests of any sort. The fan could have stopped working, the thermostat may be seized, coolant might need to be replaced, a leak could be letting air enter the system, cracked engine head gasket, clogged heater core — pretty much any faulty component in the cooling system could cause an engine to overheat in fact.
