Mustang Mach 1 finally made its way to Europe.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

For the first time in Europe, customers can now get their hands on the Ford Mustang<\/a> Mach 1. Ford released the special edition in the US after almost 17 years back in July and announced that it would be sold in Europe too, at the beginning of the month. Since then, the eagerness in Europe has never stopped rising.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

And now, the wait is finally over! Ford<\/a> announced the British release with a virtual reveal at the Goodwood SpeedWeek in West Sussex.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Mach 1<\/a> is equipped with a naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 460 PS (453 hp). Curiously, the European model is 30 hp down on the American version, probably because of emission regulation concerns.<\/p>\r\n

However, Europe<\/a> will get the TREMEC six-speed manual transmission, making the Mach 1 even more fun to drive. The beauty of this particular gearbox is that it automatically blips the throttle at downshifts. No need for heel-and-toe here, folks!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The TREMEC 3160 six-speed manual transmission also maximizes performance by using a twin-disc clutch, resulting in smoother and quicker gear shifts, even at very high rpm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

For drivers who want to keep both hands on the steering wheel, Ford also offers a 10-speed automatic transmission. This one also has software upgrades for seamless and smooth gear changes, depending on conditions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The exterior design of Mach 1 is relatable to the 1960s and 1970s iconic Mustangs, with bold and performance-oriented body styling.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ford offers the Mach 1 in eight color combinations:\u00a0 grey, slack, silver, white, blue, orange, yellow, and red. Meanwhile, fans of the muscle car vibe can opt for stripes, with color combos such as black and orange, black and red, and black and white (and everybody knows that racing stripes give 10hp more, right?).<\/p>\r\n

While its style echoes with the original models, the 87mm throttle body from the Shelby GT350 is definitely from the 21st century. The Mach 1 also features MagneRide adjustable suspensions with stiffer springs and anti-roll bars. Meanwhile, for better steering response, Ford used the subframe and toe link from the GT500.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Inside, the Mustang Mach 1 features standard heated and cooled front seats, Sync 3 connectivity system, Ford Pass modem, and 12-speaker B&O sound system. The interior comes in an ebony color scheme with aluminum detailing, while the leather seats have metal grey stitching.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cThe new Mach 1 is the most capable Mustang ever to reach Europe, with track-ready ability and a unique style that is more than worthy of wearing such a legendary badge,\u201d said Matthias Tonn, the European chief program engineer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ford is yet to announce pricing details, but we don’t expect European Mach 1 to come cheap.<\/p>\r\n
