Langen aims to revive the concept of two-strokes by introducing its new bike, cleverly named “Two-Stroke,” at the Salon Priv\u00e9 event his week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Langen’s upcoming bike <\/span>was revealed earlier in the summer, but the manufacturer just released the full-specs list. The “Two-Stroke” will produce around 75 bhp and 33 lb-ft of torque and be equipped with a two-stroke, 90\u00ba V-twin engine with counter-rotating crankshafts produced by Vins, an Italian engine maker that came up with the\u00a0 <\/span>Duecinquanta 250 sports bike. <\/span><\/p>\n

Emission regulations in place are stringent, especially regarding two-stroke engines. Still, Langen has stated that his latest creation is ready to roll and will be fully road legal, thanks in part to its fuel injection system, electronic exhaust valves, ECU-controlled oil injection, and many more high-tech enhancements.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The bike will have a handcrafted aluminum tube frame, a set of Ohlins fork at the front end, with neat K-tech twin shocks as well as Dunlop tires and Hel Performance brakes to make sure it stays on the pavement.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Additionally, to make the bike lighter, the bodywork and tank are made out of hand-laid carbon fiber, featuring gold leaf detailing to please the eyes, bringing down the overall weight to about 114 kg with oil and water but no fuel.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0In addition to that, if customers don’t like the idea of hand-finished gold leaf, they will be offered a variety of customization options ranging from a custom paint job to a specific fork type and chassis finish. As of now, the company will roll out some standard options with more luxurious upgrades available at a premium.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>While commenting on the launch, Langen creator Chris Ratcliffe said, <\/span>“The company has been founded with the aim of producing motorcycles with the simplicity and purity of days gone by, like the ‘Ton-up boys’ and their caf\u00e9 racers. <\/span>My dream has always been to create a small piece of British motorcycling history. To be able to launch this special motorcycle under a completely new brand really is a dream come true. The aim is to continue to push boundaries and create more interesting bikes, which we hope will really please people.”<\/span><\/p>\n

With a lot of emphasis on going all-electric, this could well be the swansong for the two-stroker, and only time will tell if it still appeals to the masses.

Nonetheless, with such a work-of-art as the Langen Two-Stroke, as ec0-friendly as possible, two-stroke bikes could very well be making a comeback soon!<\/p>\n
