Shelby American fulfills off-road enthusiasts\u2019 dreams with a new line of Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor trucks featuring up to 900+ hp<\/p>\n

Las Vegas <\/strong>\u2013\u00a0Shelby American<\/a>, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI:PK), is introducing two new\u00a0Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor<\/a> trucks that boast a more robust suspension, upgraded cooling, styling enhancements, and up to 900+ horsepower* on pump gasoline. The V6 Shelby Baja Raptor and V8-powered Shelby Raptor R edition trucks will be introduced to the public at 11 a.m. PST on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale. The Shelby edition trucks are available in limited quantities at official dealers nationwide.<\/p>\n

Shelby has offered their version of a Ford Raptor since 2013, and the new models build on those successful trucks, as well as lessons learned with the 2020-2022 Shelby GT500 supercars.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe launched our first Shelby edition Ford Raptor not long after our founder Carroll Shelby passed away,\u201d said Gary Patterson, president of Shelby American. \u201cAs Carroll was personally involved in the direction of that V8-powered muscle truck, it was a tribute to his vision of a high-performance off-road companion to the Shelby GT500 Mustang. The truck was a great success, as was the more recent V6-powered Shelby edition Ford Raptor. For the 2024 model year, we are celebrating Shelby’s long off-road heritage with both a V6 and V8-powered Shelby Raptor, giving enthusiasts even more choices for their adventures.\u201d<\/p>\n

Launched at the 2013 New York Auto Show, the first Shelby edition Raptor was introduced with 575 horsepower. In addition to the supercharger, Shelby took lessons learned by upgrading the Shelby GT500 to \u201cSuper Snake\u201d specs to enhance the truck’s suspension, cooling, and styling. That formula created by Carroll Shelby is the basis of the two new Shelby edition Raptor trucks.<\/p>\n

And for the ultra-serious off-roader, the Shelby edition Raptor R boasts over 900 horsepower from the same engine that powered the recent generation Ford Shelby GT500.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raptor’s legacy of high performance and durability continues to set the bar in the high-performance, off-road segment and delivers on the vision to bring customers closer to Baja desert racing-inspired trophy truck performance. It is available in both a V6 and a V8 (Raptor R) version.<\/p>\n

The all-new\u00a02024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor<\/a> delivers the rugged capabilities needed for off-road adventures. The heavy-duty suspension and underbody were built to withstand the toughest conditions with its race-proven FOX Live Valve system. The suspension provides a smooth and comfortable feeling on the pavement with aggressive control and stability at high speeds off-road.<\/p>\n

The truck has a host of styling cues that set it apart. The Shelby has functional off-road bumpers and LED lighting for any occasion, along with Shelby stripes and badges. Inside, the Shelby American theme continues across the leather seats, dashboard, and floor mats.<\/p>\n

Shelby modifies the Raptor’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost\u00ae V6 engine to create an additional 100 horsepower*, replaces the hood with a lightweight unit featuring functional scoops, a BDS suspension lift kit, 18-inch Shelby Raptor Flow forged wheels shod with 37-inch premium mud terrain tires, a heat shield, additional cooling, a chase rack, and even a pair of full-size spare wheel and tire mounts.<\/p>\n

The V8-powered \u201cR\u201d is even more capable with the suspension and cooling mods, along with a Shelby-tuned Borla performance exhaust and Shelby by Whipple supercharger. The post-title performance package includes a Bengal Red powder-coated 3.8L supercharger and intake manifold that helps boost output to well over 900 horsepower*.<\/p>\n
