Red Bull RB17 hypercar makes world debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed<\/p>\n

Red Bull have presented their long-awaited hypercar \u2013 the Adrian Newey-designed RB17 \u2013 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with team chiefs and drivers on hand to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n

Revealed in the popular festival\u2019s Cathedral Paddock on Friday morning, the RB17 will be on display for the duration of the weekend, giving fans an exclusive first chance to admire it.<\/p>\n

Designed, developed and manufactured entirely in-house at Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the RB17 features a two-seat carbon fibre monocoque chassis with a semi-stressed mid-mounted V10 engine and a carbon fibre gearbox that drives the rear wheels.<\/p>\n

Boasting a top speed of more than 350 kph, only 50 RB17s will be produced, with its static world debut at Goodwood coming after a successful and rigorous prototype testing programme.<\/p>\n

As per a previous update on the project, the RB17 \u201cplaces Red Bull Advanced Technologies at the forefront of the hypercar revolution \u2013 showcasing F1 levels of performance combined with indulgent luxury\u201d.<\/p>\n

Following the announcement\u00a0that he is to leave Red Bull Racing<\/a> in early 2025, Newey has shifted his efforts away from the F1 team to see out the RB17 project, which adds another layer to his illustrious CV.<\/p>\n

In addition to Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner\u2019s presence, a host of Red Bull drivers past and present will be in action for the company at Goodwood this weekend, with Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo and David Coulthard all confirmed.<\/p>\n

Hamda Al Qubaisi is also set to appear on the famous hill, driving her Red Bull-liveried F1 Academy car in what will mark the first time the all-female racing series has been represented at the festival.<\/p>\n

Horner said he expects the new car to become a “future classic”.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to reveal the RB17 at Goodwood Festival of Speed, a project that is one of the most authentic and exciting that Red Bull Advanced Technolgoies has embarked upon to date,” he said.<\/p>\n

“With 20 years of legacy in the world of F1 to draw from, and as a performance centred organisation, it only made sense for us to design our own hypercar from the ground up. Combining technical innovation, achievement and emotional appeal, the RB17 is a landmark car. I\u2019m very proud of the team and am delighted to see it make its world debut. We expect the RB17 to be a future classic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adrian Newey added: \u201cI had been mulling around the idea to take on the challenge to design our very own hypercar, from concept to delivery, for many years and it has been a magnificent project and journey.<\/p>\n

“For it to finally be the day we pull the covers off and see the birth of the RB17, is truly remarkable. The RB17 Hypercar embraces everything we stand for: undeniable power, speed and beauty. It is very adaptable in its abilities, and we made sure to design it as a two seater so that the thrill of driving at F1 speeds can be enjoyed with a friend or partner.\u201d<\/p>\n
