If you\u2019ve been considering leasing a Ford F-150 Lightning, now might be the perfect time. Ford has just rolled out some of the most significant discounts yet for its electric truck. Indeed, the 2023 F-150 Lightning is now available with lease incentives that can slash up to $15,250 off the MSRP. This could be the best deal for leasing a Ford<\/a> Lightning we’ve seen to date.<\/p>\n

The biggest discounts come from Ford\u2019s Red Carpet Lease (RCL) Customer Cash program. The Platinum trim, which starts around $85,000, now comes with a $15,250 rebate, up from the previous $7,500 discount. If the Platinum is a bit too pricey, the Lariat trim also has generous discounts. The Standard Range version gets $9,750 off, while the Extended Range version sees a $9,250 discount, both up from $5,000.<\/p>\n

The XLT trim isn\u2019t left out either. While the standard discount is $1,500, you can get up to $7,000 off if you opt for the Extended Range version. Models equipped with Equipment Group 311A qualify for a $4,250 rebate. These changes mean some models have seen nearly a 400% increase in savings.<\/p>\n

These deals aren\u2019t available everywhere, though. The discounts are limited to at least 10 regions, including major cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. If you\u2019re in California, the deal gets even sweeter. Ford has reduced the lease\u2019s money factor for the Lariat trim from 5.68% to just 0.09%, effectively bringing the interest rate down to near 0%. Plus, there\u2019s a $1,500 Trade-Assist Cash incentive for Tesla owners looking to switch to a Ford Lightning.<\/p>\n

Ford is offering these discounts as part of its strategy to boost sales of its electric trucks. The company has faced challenges maintaining high sales volumes post-pandemic, especially with the rising costs of EVs. By offering these significant lease incentives, Ford hopes to clear out its 2023 inventory and make way for the 2024 models, which also come with reduced pricing.<\/p>\n

For those considering buying instead of leasing, there are still some attractive options. Ford is offering 0% financing on the Lightning for the first time, although this does come at the expense of some rebates. Additionally, the F-150 Lightning qualifies for the $7,500 federal tax credit, adding even more appeal to these deals.<\/p>\n

Despite being the best-selling electric truck in the U.S., the demand for the F-150 Lightning has dipped. This has led Ford to reduce production shifts at its Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan. However, with these new incentives, the company aims to boost sales and increase its market share.<\/p>\n
