With modern upgrades and a powerful V8 engine, Ringbrothers ’65 ‘Stang is a head-turning work of art.<\/p>\n

The 2023 SEMA Show just went live, and many unique creations have already been unveiled. Still, Ringbrothers stole the show with a classic convertible Mustang restomod called the “Uncaged.”<\/p>\n

Based on a 1965 Ford<\/a> Mustang Convertible, the Uncaged looks quite neat but pretty standard from afar. But up close, you’ll notice several subtle details making a world of difference, including a track about an inch wider than usual and extended rocker panels bringing it closer to the ground. The front bumper has been blended with the rest of the body and the redesigned grille was also recessed by two inches \u2014 subtle but effective.<\/p>\n

As similar treatment was given to the rear end with a more modern bumper and valances. Beyond that, the tailpipes have been louvered, a nice touch, if you ask me. Ringbrothers then topped the whole thing off with a \u201cburgundy brave\u2019 red and Cerakote Titanium C-105P coating for the badges.<\/p>\n

Despite the visual upgrades making up for quite a neat look, the best part of this restomod is actually tucked under the hood, now sporting a more modern but just as glorious V8 engine, Ford\u2019s iconic Coyote, producing 460 hp sent to the rear wheels through a 10R80 10-speed automatic tranny. To cope with the power bump, the ‘Stang was given a set of Penske Racing RS Edition performance coilovers, independent rear suspensions, new Baer brakes and fresh Continental tires.<\/p>\n

The cabin is nothing short of a work of art. Designed by Sean Smith Designs, the interior was fitted with leather-wrapped trims, a digital Dakota gauge, and a new steering wheel reminiscent of the original one. A digital rearview mirror was also installed for a retro-modern touch.<\/p>\n

The whole thing took the master craftsmen at Ringbrothers more than 4,000 hours to complete, but the result makes it all worth it. Kudos to them for building such an impressive piece!<\/p>\n

Interestingly, this topless Mustang isn’t the only classic the restomodder unveiled at SEMA. There’s also a 1969 Dodge Charger and 1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud \u2014 stay tuned for our take on those soon!<\/p>\n
