Introduced in November 2019, the electric pickup had a rough journey since then, going through long delays and hype loss. But finally, after two years of waiting, the first production model has rolled off the assembly line in Tesla&#8217;s Giga Texas factory.<\/p>\n<p>The brand confirmed the news through a tweet saying, \u201cFirst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/tag\/cybertruck\/\">Cybertruck<\/a> built at Giga Texas,\u201d with a handful of workers surrounding the vehicle. Though, it might only be a \u201cproduction intent\u201d or a model used in the last stage of development for testing and implementation. Still, if it&#8217;s truly the first production model, a significant step in Tesla Cybertruck\u2019s history indeed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-center\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">First Cybertruck built at Giga Texas! &#x1f920; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ODRhHVsd0t\">pic.twitter.com\/ODRhHVsd0t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tesla (@Tesla) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Tesla\/status\/1680121747910148099?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 15, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The vehicle experienced nasty delays over the years, with delivery dates constantly pushed a little further. It was so bad that many started wondering whether the Cybertruck would even ever happen. In fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/cars\/ford.htm\">Ford<\/a>\u2019s CEO, Jim Farley, had an interview with CNBC saying he was not worried the Tesla truck would eat into the F-150 Lightning&#8217;s market as the Cybertruck was &#8220;not made for real people who do real work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Elon Musk constantly overpromised and underdelivered at every investor meeting event, which wasn&#8217;t helping. At the initial launch, Tesla assure the 250,000+ customers who ordered the truck that shipping would start in 2021. But when the Covid-19 pandemic severely impacted the automotive supply chain, Tesla had to move the production deadline to 2022, then until early 2023, only to recently claim it would now begin in late 2023.<\/p>\n<p>With the first production Cybertruck finally completed, Tesla is finally ahead of the promised schedule for the very first time \u2014 production wasn&#8217;t supposed to begin until October. But only time will tell if this also means early deliveries. Considering Tesla already received 1.9 million orders for its electric truck, it may want to hurry.<\/p>\n<p>That said, the EV maker still hasn&#8217;t straightened the record for Cybertruck&#8217;s actual spec and pricing, so Tesla still has some press conferences to attend to.
