Apocalypse turns the Ram 1500 TRX into an 850-hp monster perfect for fending off zombie hordes.<\/p>\n

In the world of performance pickups, the Ram 1500 TRX is well-known as one of the toughest and most powerful trucks in its class. But would it be enough if doomsday or the zombie apocalypse was to come? American tuning house Apocalypse may just have a solution.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the tuner recently launched the 4×4 Super Truck, its latest creation based on the Ram<\/a> 1500. It’s essentially a toned-down version of its previous project, the Juggernaut 6×6, retaining the Ram’s standard 4-wheel configuration but somehow still looks just as bonkers. And despite shedding two wheels, the tuner has kept the same engine as the 6×6 variant, a mighty 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 tuned to produce 850 hp \u2014 150 more than the standard TRX.<\/p>\n

The mean power unit is supported by various features and components, making the 4×4 Super Truck an incredible off-roader. As standard, the TRX already comes loaded with Dana 60 locking differentials to improve traction, endure heavy loads, and protect against damage when traversing rough or rocky terrain. Moreover, it has five extreme driving modes to suit your all-terrain needs: Sport, Drag Race, Baja, Rock, and Mud. Better yet, drivers can create and save custom off-road modes matching their preferences \u2014 a perfect base for the Super Truck indeed.<\/p>\n

On the outside, Apocalypse gave a complete makeover to the base model, and we can’t blame you if you can barely find anything resembling the stock 1500. It has a brand new angry-looking rugged body kit allowing for wider tire tracks, and we’re also a fan of the dark matte color scheme. Furthermore, it remains practical for your weekly grocery run amongst zombies as it has a nearly eight-foot bed with a reclining backrest and a roll-up cover. Not to mention it features power-retractable steps for easier in-and-out access \u2014 a nice touch when running away from plague-infested monsters.<\/p>\n

As for the interior, the black and red color scheme screams sporty more than doomsday \u2014 unless it’s designed to match the colors of a hypothetical totalitarian regime running the show in a dystopian future? Still, the seats are wrapped in leather, with heating and cooling systems for the front row. Moreover, you’ll also get a 12-inch integrated head unit, Harmon Kardon surrounds sound system, a 360 surround camera for easier parking, and “Apocalypse” emblems spread across the dashboard and steering wheel \u2014 who said the end of the world had to be uncomfortable, right?<\/p>\n

As you may expect, it won’t come cheap, especially since you’ll need to write a $159,999 check to Apocalypse just to order this monster. Nonetheless, it’s still significantly cheaper than the Juggernaut 6×6, costing $297,999, while offering similar performance.<\/p>\n

How much are you ready to pay to ensure you survive the end of the world again? That $160k might be a pretty good investment when you think about it…<\/p>\n
