The exterior doesn’t get any noticeable updates, but there is quite a lot happening inside the cabin of the luxury SUV as the 2024 Velar goes for a minimalistic look.<\/p>\n

Range Rover<\/a> has unveiled the facelifted 2024 Velar<\/a>, and most changes seem to have happened inside. With minimal changes that are barely recognizable, the 2024 Velar comes largely in shades of gray as the automaker removes the older colors like blue and red from the palette.<\/p>\n

However, the most exciting updates in the 2024 Velar are inside the cabin \u2014 for better or worst. Namely, the previous two-screen setup gives way to a floating 11.4-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system that complements the interior perfectly. No more need for a clustered center console as this system allows the users to access all vehicle functions.<\/p>\n

Still, this approach never works as the manufacturer intended. For instance, changing some climate control often requires a few taps on the screen, compared to the quick-to-access physical buttons. Besides, precisely hitting any touchscreen control while moving is an exercise in madness, especially on bumpy roads. In all fairness, the Velar already relied on touchscreen controls for most functions \u2014 the 2024 model seems to be even more reliant on them.<\/p>\n

However, to maximize the usability of the upgraded one-screen system, Range Rover used the Pivi Pro software in the 2024 Velar. The software supports over-the-air updates for the onboard diagnostics, powertrain, and chassis and also connects wirelessly to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support systems. Moreover, the center console also includes a wireless charger.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the 2024 Velar features leather-free upholstery with wool blends and polyurethane textiles, giving it a modern aesthetic. However, cow-skin aficionados can get genuine leather in Cloud, Raven Blue, and Deep Garnet colorways.<\/p>\n

The 2024 Velar remains almost the same on the outside, but a handful of updates are worth mentioning. Notably, the upgraded headlights join a discreetly updated grille and a new rear bumper. As for the color options, there’s only one hope of seeing some actual color \u2014 the Metallic Vaseline Blue is somewhat soothing to the eyes, but it still looks like an extension of the gray palette.<\/p>\n

The powertrain remains unchanged in both trims. The base model, P250, sports a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 producing 247 hp and 268 lb-ft torque, paired to an upgraded, smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic and an AWD system.<\/p>\n

As for the P400 model, you’ll get a boost in power and torque as the 3.0-liter inline-six that now produces 395 hp and 405 lb-ft, aided by a 48-volt MHEV mild-hybrid system. The P400 also pairs with an eight-speed auto and an AWD system.<\/p>\n

The P250 starts at $62,775, with the range peaking at $84,795 for the Dynamic HSE P400. Land Rover<\/a> is currently taking orders for the 2024 facelifted Velar.<\/p>\n
