The all-electric Aceman will be slightly smaller than the Clubman and should replace it by 2024 when the production model arrives.<\/p>\n

Mini<\/a> teases its first all-electric car, the Aceman, a crossover with a futuristic design approach that’s still unmistakably Mini. The visual cues resemble a car fresh off a Tron legacy movie set, and we mean that in a good way!<\/p>\n

Although Mini is silent on the matter, the Aceman should spawn a production model in the next few years. We assume it will replace the Clubman<\/a> when it exits the market in 2024.<\/p>\n

Mini also didn’t reveal any details for the Aceman, so we don’t know the power numbers, battery capacity, and range. However, the brand confirmed that the model would no longer come from production houses in Germany or UK but from China. Notably, Great Wall Motor, a Chinese automaker, will manufacture the Aceman, making this move another company first.<\/p>\n

Design-wise, the Aceman follows Mini’s philosophy’s minimalistic and peppy-futuristic outlook. It’s a well-designed model, incorporating both minimalism and sustainability to set a new standard for future model designs. Similarly, the EV has wheels placed to its extreme ends, effectively giving out negligible front and rear overhangs.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Mini used LEDs extensively, which is unsurprising for a concept. The front fascia gives off a very kawaii feel with its pseudo grille, open octagonal contour, and a green LED light strip embroidering it. Although the Aceman doesn’t have a grille, Mini thought it would be good to simulate one using an LED frame and a Union Jack LED pattern inside.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, what used to be traditional round headlights, have become more angular-shaped matrix LED units. The headlights are composed of many small LED lamps surrounded by LEDs DRLs.<\/p>\n

The Aceman is slightly smaller than the Countryman at 159.4 inches long and 78.35 inches wide. However, thanks to the more space-efficient electric powertrain, the Aceman should provide more passenger and cargo space.<\/p>\n

Finally, the interior is a real treat to the eyes. Where else would you expect a colorful burst animation on the main circular display accompanied by colorful projections on the dash? Cloth is also the major element running across the interior, which looks quite appealing. Overall, the cabin gives a cartoon-anime feel with the splash of colors across the seats and the visual effects on the screen. We hope the same design translates into the production Aceman!<\/p>\n
