<\/p>\nJeep released a sneak-peek of its first all-electric model to the public, and it’s a neat-looking compact SUV launching in 2023!<\/p>\n
The company’s rapid push into electrification is largely down to the formation of Stellantis last year. Under its watch, major American and European automakers such as Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Citroen, Alfa Romeo, etc., vowed to induct several EVs into its fleet by 2030 \u2014 with at least one EV in every segment across all 14 brands. In particular, Jeep’s chief Christian Meunier has been actively vocal about adopting emission-free tech into its range in the coming years.<\/p>\n
Not too long ago, the off-road-focused brand unveiled the new Grand Cherokee with a 4xe system that worked in tandem with the existing ICE platform to tackle some solid trails. Building on that vision, Stellantis revealed two images of the upcoming Jeep all-electric SUV, leaving the journos to form their own opinions of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Looking at the SUV through the front isometric view, the design cues from the Compass and Cherokee are clearly recognizable \u2014 especially the seven-row intake grille and the headlamp outlines. Of course, this being an all-electric SUV means that the grille is covered, while the headlamps themselves are split into two layers featuring the DRL and the actual unit. Notably, the automaker also incorporated some beefy and rugged profiles on the front bumper, hood, fenders, and wheel-arches, accentuating its solid stance even further.<\/p>\n
Jeep carried on with the ruggedness down the sides as well, featuring a blacked-out roofline, windows, and window sills, contrasting with the bright yellow paint. The automaker also visibly embraced the muscular lines on the SUV’s doors, side skirts, and rear quarter panels. The tail-end, too, is quite reminiscent of a modern-day Cherokee \/ Renegade, although the exhaust outlet has been done away with since, well, it’s an EV after all.<\/p>\n
Sources suggest that the so-far untitled Jeep electric SUV (Project 516) could enter production in Poland in November 2022, as per Stellantis documents. Furthermore, the conglomerate plans to roll out Fiat’s next crossover by 2023, alongside a few launches by Alfa Romeo.<\/p>\n
