Bentley aims to implement first-class leather that would be sourced and processed more sustainably in its entire lineup shortly.<\/p>\n

Bentley<\/a> is famous for its attention to detail and pioneering spirit. Founded in 1919, the carmaker recently launched \u2018Beyond100,\u2019 a new strategic plan intended to sustain its impressive growth and propel it forward into the next 100 years based on an unsurpassed commitment to quality craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

Via the pursuit of environmentally friendly production processes, Bentley intends to give back as much as possible to future generations while remaining true to one of its oldest mottoes: \u201cWe make luxury vehicles for ambitious drivers who appreciate quality.\u201d
\nHence, Bentley has joined the Leather Working Group, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increased sustainability in the leather industry.<\/p>\n

Bentley\u2019s involvement in the LWG will help make leather more sustainable in the future while maintaining the necessary quality and durability that its loyal customers are used to. As a result, Bentley is committed to implementing new, world-class leathers and leatherwork products within the following year. LWG hopes that it will set industry standards for all leather companies to follow.<\/p>\n

LWG stated, \u201cThis is a win-win for industry and the environment that everyone can get behind. Roughly 95% of the material in an automobile can be recycled. This demonstrates that there is a significant opportunity to retain material value throughout the manufacturing and supply chain.\u201d<\/p>\n

The leather team at the Bentley plant gets its leather from various places across Europe and occasionally even other continents. Cattle, pork, and poultry by-products are used to make the leather, and the team ensures that every hide is utilized to its utmost capacity. Of course, this is an exceedingly unusual procurement procedure, and few manufacturers can claim to go that far to reduce unnecessary waste.<\/p>\n

Bentley\u2019s accreditation as a member of the Leather Working Group is another step toward increasing leather quality and craftsmanship while also assuring a strong sustainability level. Good one, Bentley!<\/p>\n
