{"id":37342,"date":"2021-08-27T10:13:30","date_gmt":"2021-08-27T15:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/?p=37342"},"modified":"2021-08-27T10:13:30","modified_gmt":"2021-08-27T15:13:30","slug":"audi-teases-the-grandsphere-concept-before-september-2-unveil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/audi-teases-the-grandsphere-concept-before-september-2-unveil","title":{"rendered":"Audi Teases the Grandsphere Concept Before September 2 Unveil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"custom-first\">The first teasers reveal that the Audi Grandsphere will be a massive limousine\/shooting brake with a modern design and minimalistic interior.<\/p>\n<p>Audi sent waves through the automotive and design worlds last month when it teased three brand-new concepts known as \u201cspheres\u201d and revealed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/tag\/skysphere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skysphere<\/a>, a 624-hp roadster that can transform itself at will a little later.<\/p>\n<p>Since competition is now heating up in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/tag\/autonomous\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">autonomous driving<\/a> segment, it was assumed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/tag\/audi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Audi<\/a> would soon unveil another model built on its Project Artemis platform. And as expected, the automaker just teased the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/tag\/grandsphere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grandsphere<\/a> concept, another impressive EV showpiece that Audi will officially reveal on September 2 at Munich\u2019s upcoming IAA motor show.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Audi-Grandsphere-Concept-02.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37424 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Audi-Grandsphere-Concept-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Audi-Grandsphere-Concept-02.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Audi-Grandsphere-Concept-02-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Audi-Grandsphere-Concept-02-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Audi-Grandsphere-Concept-02-768x512.jpg 768w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1200px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1200\/800;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Audi pulled out all the stops on this one. Indeed, from the small glimpse we get in this top-down shot, the Grandsphere seems enormous, and it looks even more impressive when viewed from different angles. The manufacturer seems to have interpreted the brief literally, creating a much larger car with an aerodynamically streamlined body. As a result, there\u2019s much more room for luggage or individual comfort, albeit at the expense of driving fun.<\/p>\n<p>Since the Grandsphere&#8217;s main talking point will be the Level 4 autonomous driving capability, it was designed with comfort in mind. Indeed, with a small bench seat for the rear passengers and front seats that can be reclined and stretched back to the B-pillar, it promises to be unlike any other. Moreover, we can&#8217;t see any sort of screen on the teaser images, which is undoubtedly intriguing.<\/p>\n<p>After revealing the Skysphere and teasing the Grandsphere, only one concept is left from the sphere trio, the Urbansphere.
