The GR 86 concepts of the “GR Parts” series feature aggressive body kits, but also suspension improvements and a louder exhaust.<\/p>\n

Gazoo Racing<\/a>, Toyota\u2019s performance-oriented division, has showcased two extensively modified GR 86<\/a> concepts vehicles with various aftermarket parts. The division completely overhauled the regular Toyota<\/a> GR 86 visually while also improving performance.<\/p>\n

Gazoo Racing already revealed the GR Parts Concept in June, but now it provides the complete information. The concepts are a strong statement to other Japanese auto tuners<\/a> who take all the limelight with their own tuned GR 86\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Gazoo Racing revealed two concepts: the GR 86 GR Parts and GR 86 GR Parts Concept (silly names, aren\u2019t they?). In broad terms, both vehicles have been tuned for aesthetic upgrades with some key differences. The first vehicle, GR Parts, is more of a design change, while the second has improved handling. Meanwhile, Toyota revealed that the GR Parts Concept acted as a study car for the development of GR Parts.<\/p>\n

For the GR 86 GR Parts, the upgrades improve the aerodynamics and handling. Notably, there\u2019s a front carbon-fiber splitter clubbed with the canards and a larger inlet duct on the upper section of the grille for providing cool air to the engine. The front wheel arches have air outlets for more excellent aerodynamic performance.<\/p>\n

Moreover, it has side skirts, a side visor, and a set of 19-inch forged aluminum wheels. The rear wheels also have 43 mm wide over-fenders for a better stance. Moving on, the rear bumper spoiler has four exhaust tips, enhancing the sound of the boxer engine. Apart from these parts, the model also receives a GR suspension kit for better handling and a GR monoblock brake kit.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the GR Parts Concept looks even more aggressive but doesn\u2019t employ many performance-enhancing parts. It has been added with a new front and rear bumper, front fender ducts, custom-made side skirts, GR sports exhaust system, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, and a boot lid spoiler. To enhance the airflow, Gazoo Racing also applied side cowlings to the windows. Besides, most of the parts are made of carbon fiber, like the interior and the roof. There\u2019s also a unique-looking fuel lid.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the Toyota 86 (GR 86) has remained a popular car for auto tuners. Now, the GR 86 will join Toyota\u2019s high-performance car club, including the GR Yaris<\/a> and GR Supra<\/a>. Toyota\u2019s motorsport wing has done a commendable job with each sports car, and we do not doubt that the GR 86 will be a success.<\/p>\n
