Designer “technic-Al” created the Lego Hummer EV from 2,200 pieces, employed four electric motors, four-wheel-steering, and an adjustable suspension.<\/p>\n

When it comes to doing something innovative, some automotive enthusiasts think literally outside of the box. We’ve already featured some unique fan creations, such as a 3D-printed Porsche Taycan<\/a> miniature and a life-size snow sculpture of a Ferrari LaFerrari<\/a>. However, what we have here is the most impressive thing you’ve seen so far; at least, it is for me. It may appear simple when I say it’s a Lego-built GMC<\/a> Hummer EV model, but this one\u2019s special. It not only perfectly replicates the actual truck’s looks but also performs some of its core functions, specifically, the “Crab Walk.”<\/p>\n

This Hummer EV<\/a> miniature was created by Lego hobbyist Alain B (technic-Al), and we have nothing but appreciation for the time and effort he has put into the project. The actual truck’s cutting-edge design is expertly duplicated in this model. Practically every exterior aspect, including the front light bar, fender flares, and underbody armor plate, is accurately featured.<\/p>\n

The interior, with its miniature bucket seats, instrument panel, and infotainment screen, resembles that of the battery-powered truck as well. Even the truck’s front trunk lid and MultiPro Tailgate are present and open electronically, as do all four doors of the model.<\/p>\n

The designer didn’t stop there; he also outfitted his Lego model with an electronically adjustable suspension system capable of providing up to 6-inches of ride height lift. Furthermore, a functional steering wheel is also present, and even a four-wheel-drive configuration thanks to four electric motors on each wheel. This implies that the model gets the Crab Walk feature from the real Hummer pickup, which allows all four wheels to move in the same direction for enhanced maneuverability on rougher terrain. The creator also included a rear-mounted battery pack, although there is no word on the range.<\/p>\n

Alain constructed the entire miniature with over 2200 Lego Technic pieces, including one Powered Up hub and four hub motors. Technic-Al has submitted the model to Lego’s Ideas Site, and it requires 10,000 supporters to be transformed from a one-off creation to a public-accessible production kit.<\/p>\n
