However, CEO Jarod Shelby silenced those claims after the Tuatara hit a record average speed of 282.9 mph in a re-run. With the world record now officially under its belt, SSC finally unveils two brand new variants of the Tuatara called the Striker and Aggressor.<\/p>\n<p>If the original Tuatara wasn&#8217;t impressive enough, the Tuatara Striker takes things to a whole new level. Powered by the same 5.9-liter twin-turbo V8, this variant produces a staggering 1,750 horsepower. A robotized seven-speed manual transmission helps in transferring power to all four of its wheels with a shifting time less than 100 milliseconds. Apart from that, it also comes with dive planes, aerodynamic side skirts, a diffuser, and a large front splitter. It is also worth mentioning that the car is cleverly engineered to divert nearly 55% of the downforce to the rear axle. SSC says that this helps in increasing the car&#8217;s overall stability and provides optimum balance.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the Aggressor is a Tuatara on steroids. According to SSC, it is a more track-focused version of the hypercar and a formidable force to be reckoned with. It comes with high-performance add-ons and performance kits that are not compatible with a street-legal version. Moreover, power figures might go up to a staggering 2,200 hp with a new upgrade option for its massive V8. However, inside sources claim that the Striker&#8217;s interior will feature unique styling complete with Alcantara upholstery and a carbon fiber dashboard. Meanwhile, the Aggressor&#8217;s interior is sportier, featuring special racing seats, five-point harnesses, a roll bar structure, and also a carbon dash.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the two hypercars will be highly exclusive as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emanualonline.com\/blog\/tag\/ssc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SSC<\/a> will build 100 units of the Tuatara Striker and only 10 Aggressors.
