Peugeot is making a strong comeback to the African and Middle Eastern markets with the all-new off-road capable Landtrek pickup truck.<\/p>\n

The stylish truck launched digitally on February 15 in the presence of Peugeot\u2019s CEO Linda Jackson and Samir Cherfan, Stellantis\u2019s regional COO.<\/p>\n

Peugeot has a long heritage and a century-old connection with the African continent. In this case, Landtrek will indeed prove to be a great option in the highly competitive 1T (1 ton) pick-up truck market of Africa and the Middle East. Although it has Peugeot\u2019s distinctive lion logo, it was initially manufactured for the Chinese market in collaboration with Changan Automobile. In China, it is available as the Kaicene F70.<\/p>\n

The Peugeot Landtrek in three configurations: single cab, double cab, and a chassis cab.<\/p>\n

According to the French carmaker, the truck displays all core strengths and positive aspects of the Peugeot brand. Simultaneously, it also carries the traits of iconic models, namely the 504 pick-up truck and the 404 wagon.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Landtrek has a towing capacity of nearly 3.5 tons along with 9.35-inches of ground clearance. Peugeot\u2019s engineers have crafted this pick-up truck meticulously based on 3 Rs \u2013 Rugged, Reliable and Repair. This kind of robustness gives the Landtrek an all-terrain capability.<\/p>\n

Under the hood, Peugeot offers two engines. At first, there is a 1.9-liter turbodiesel producing 150 hp and 350 Nm torque. This model comes with a Getrag 6-speed manual gearbox with a chain distribution system to make it more reliable. The second unit is 2.4-liter turbocharged petrol with 210 hp and 320 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n

The more powerful model has two transmission options: Getrag 6-speed manual and a six-speed Punch automatic transmission.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the base models will arrive with rear-wheel drive, but customers can opt for an AWD system. Notably, the system is off-road capable, thanks to 4L and 4H options.<\/p>\n

Landtrek\u2019s interior is an attractive place with great detailing and features. The most eye-catching part is the 10-inch HD screen from the Peugeot 508. Other features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, four cameras, a 10 GB hard drive, lane departure warning, and trailer swing control.<\/p>\n

Also, there\u2019s a complete set of accessories that include thermoformed body protection, running boards, safety mats, chrome roll bar, alarm, hardtop, etc.
\nPeugeot also promises impressive off-roading ability \u2013 the Landtrek has a maximum fording depth is 23.6 inches (600 mm).<\/p>\n

Finally, Peugeot\u2019s provides an attractive warranty scheme with 3-year\/100,000-km. Similarly, with the thought of enhancing overall reliability and lowering the total expenditure, the focus is on easy maintenance and repairs.<\/p>\n
