GENERAL INSTRUCTION FOR DISMANTLING AND RE-ASSEMBLING 1. Dismantling and re-assembling, including repairs, should always be carried out using suitable and high-grade tools or using our set of service tools, Part No. 70011 9100. 2. The parts pressed on or heat- assembled should be dismantled only by pressing or using a suit- able mandrel. The contact surfa- ces of parts to be pressed in or shrink on should always be coated with oil properly. 3. Take care to re-assemble, as the case may be, all the disman - tled parts to their original pla- ces. It is especially important to follow this rule in the case of repeated use of the bearing needles and rollers. 4. Clean properly all the parts before assembly and coat their contact surfaces, and espe c ially the friction ones, by oil, grease or sealing compound. 5 . Make use of a vaseline having its thaw po i nt at least 60 °c to stick the bearing needles when being assembled . 6. Take special care when putting the GUFERO packing ring on the shaft . Check it for damage . It should be immersed into oil or coated by oil before assembling. Fill the ring inside with grease after assembling . 7. Paper gaskets , rubber and cork packings and seals, fuses, wires, r etaini ng rings, cotter pins and similar parts should be replaced by new ones . 8. Take care to fill up all the repaired groups (components) with oil or grease before putting into service. 5 9. When using a crane, check to be sure the crane lifting power and the loading capacities of ropes and suspensions are suf- ficient when compared with the load in question. Use an appro- priate lifting gear only. 10. Use suitable plugs to blind the open holes of parts or ends of pipelines disconnected. Insu- late the disconnected ends of electric wires and mark them un- less provided with numbering. 11. Depending on which of the tractor parts (sub- assemblies) is to be repaired: drain coo- lant, or oil, fro m the engine, or transmission, from the shock absorber, from the hydraulic system, or any other oil, or the hydraulic brake fluid, etc . Check to be sure the systems have been re-filled again after re-assembly.
