The Ducati Streetfighter was designed by Damien Basset. He is a member of the Ducati design team. This motorcycle was sold in three different variations. There was the Streetfighter 1099 that was sold from 2009 to 2011, the Streetfighter S 1099 that was sold from 2009 to 2012, and the Streetfighter 848 that was sold from 2011 until 2015.

The engine inside the Streetfighter is a 1099 cc, 90 degree V-twin, DOHC design. It had 8 valves. The transmission was a multi-plate clutch with a 6-speed gearbox. This combination made the Streetfighter very powerful. The 848 put out 849 cc. The 1099 cc put out 155 horsepower and the 849 produced a whopping 132 horsepower. The first put out 85 pound-feet of torque and the 849 an impressive 69.

The suspension setup was made by Ohlins. The front had a 43mm inverted fork style with an adjustable spring preload, rebound damping, and compression system. The rear was a single Ohlins shock system with the same adjustable features as the front. The brakes were a Brembo Monobloc four-piston setup with radial calipers with 330mm discs. The rear had a two piston Brembo design with 245mm disc.
