The first generation Vauxhall Combo was called the Kadett Combo. It was available from 1986 to 1993. Production was started in the United Kingdom though was later transferred to Portugal. In 1989 the Combo received a grille and a minor facelift. The first generation Combo was sold as a 1.3 liter petrol engine or a 1.6 liter diesel unit. Later on, the 1.3 liter was changed to a 1.4 liter.

The second generation Combo B was manufactured from 1993 until 2001. The symmetrical design was appealed to buyers. It also featured side windows, a folding bench seat, and a large cargo section.

The Combo C was produced from 2001 to 2011. It featured an updated fuller look and sliding rear doors. The side doors were available in either single or double.
