Since 2001, Skoda, the Czech automobile manufacturer has been producing the Skoda Superb which is a large family executive vehicle. This front-engine, front-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle has been allowing for maximum transportation. While it is primarily assembled and sold in European countries, Skoda Superbs can also be found in China. Thankfully, because these vehicles are so popular, technicians and owners all over the world can make use of a Skoda Superb workshop manual in order to ensure that routine maintenance and care are given to Superbs.

The first generation Skoda Superb was in production from 2001 until 2008. With a variety of engine options, the Superb was found to be quite popular in the Chinese market as well. However, it was rebadged as the Volkswagen Passat Lingyu. There were two manual transmission options as well as one automatic one for the first generation Superb. Right before the second generation was debuted, the Superb underwent a minor facelift that implemented new headlights, a new radiator grill, and C-shaped tail lights.

In early 2008, at the Geneva Motor Show, the second generation of the Skoda Superb was debuted. The second generation was a four door, five-seater sedan with a special trunk lid, titled “Twindoor” that was could operate conventionally or as a hatchback. Engine options expanded including everything from a 1.4 L EA111 TSI I4 all the way to a 2.0 L EA 189 TDI CR I4. Skoda also added another automatic transmission option, making a total of 4 different options – two manuals and two automatics. The second generation Superb was in production until 2015.

The third and current generation of the Skoda Superb premiered February 2015, with production taking off a few months later. The current Superb is much larger than that of the second generation and includes all turbocharged engine options, both petrol and diesel. As manual transmissions became less popular over the years, the current model also only offers one manual option.

For almost 20 years, Skoda has been producing the Superb which has continued to improve and impress. With many upgrades and updates along the way, the Skoda Superb is currently in its most innovative generation yet. Today, owners of these vehicles can perform their own maintenance or have a professional technician do it. Skoda Superb service manuals help to keep these vehicles in good working condition so that they can continue to reflect the Skoda brand.
