The Seat Ibiza is the most popular model for the entire Seat brand. It is a compact, supermini vehicle that is driven by millions every single day. Having more than 4 million units in circulation, the Seat Ibiza is definitely a reliable vehicle that many have come to appreciate. You can do the same by picking up a Seat Ibiza workshop manual to handle any necessary repairs or service needs! Even if you aren’t a mechanic, the instructions inside a workshop manual will supply you with all the knowledge you’ll need!

The Ibiza was first sold in 1984 and is still in production today. This makes the oldest Ibiza model 35 years old, showing that the model itself has a proven record of consistent success. The Ibiza has gone through five different generations, with the most recent starting in 2017.

The first generation of Ibizas were marketed as a supermini compact vehicle with German parts and the stylistic appeal of Italian cars. Between 1984 and 1993, the Ibiza had five different petrol engine choices and one diesel. The petrol engines ranged from a 0.9L four-cylinder that produced 45 horsepower to a 1.7L four-cylinder that could produce 107. The diesel was a 1.7L four-cylinder that produced just 55 horsepower.

The second generation began in 1993, and now had a style similar to that of the Volkswagen Golf. With the new appearance came several more stronger engine choices to choose from. Things changed again in 2002, when the Ibiza was restyled once again. During the third generation, the Ibiza now looked very similar to the Volkswagen Polo.

Like the previous generation, there were several different engine choices available that produced varying horsepower and acceleration times. In 2008, yet another significant change and fourth generation began. The model became very sleek, almost shaped similar to that of an arrow. At this point, the Ibiza started to be recognized for being an extremely safe vehicle to drive.

In 2017, the newest and fifth generation of Ibizas were released. It is now sold exclusively as a hatchback vehicle and is larger than the previous generation. Stylistically, it closely resembles the Seat Leon. As the generation is still new, engine choices are limited to a 1.0L three-cylinder petrol engine, a 1.5L four-cylinder petrol, or a 1.6L four-cylinder diesel.

Because the model has such a rich history of success, every model year of Ibiza shares the same qualities that make the model so successful. The Seat Ibiza is reliable, affordable, and wonderfully easy to drive!
