The Seat Altea is a corporate style multipurpose car. It is quite compact in size, and is known for being a safe family car with a sleek and sporty design. The Altea was recognized for how well designed it is, and received multiple car magazine awards for how beautiful the model looked. Looks are always important, but youíll want a Seat Altea workshop manual to take care of how your car performs too! The best way to tackle car maintenance is through regular preventative care, which is made easy with the instructions found in a workshop manual!

The Altea model was first sold in 2004, and was marketed as a compact version of a multipurpose vehicle. It stayed in one generation of production, but that lasted all the way until 2015. During that time, the vehicle saw few significant changes other than engine and drive improvements.

Like many other Seat models, the Altea was available with the option of a petrol or diesel engine. Petrol engines began with a 1.4L four-cylinder, but eventually finished with the option of a powerful, 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder. There was also plenty of variation with diesel engines, beginning with a 1.6L four-cylinder, but including several improvements until it ultimately finished with an option for a 2.0L four-cylinder engine.

In 2006, a larger version of the model known as the Altea XL was available for purchase. A year later, Seat released the Altea Freetrack. The Freetrack ran on four-wheel drive, and had a smoother, raised suspension. Both model options were available through the end of Altea production in 2015.

Even though Seat did have fairly solid success with the Altea, production did cease in 2015. Although the Altea model was not officially continued, Seatís CEO has indicated that the Seat Ateca, a larger sports utility vehicle, is the successor vehicle to the Altea. Rather than continue with multipurpose vehicles (MPVs), Seat now is focusing on sports utility vehicles (SUVs).

Just because the Seat Altea is no longer in production doesnít mean they arenít exceptional vehicles! The Altea is actually very popular and held in high regard for how well it performs. The only reason the Altea is no longer being manufactured is because Seat is focusing on SUVs and moving away from MPVs. With that in mind, your Altea is undoubtedly an excellent MPV! The best way to maintain the versatility and functionality of your vehicle is through regular use of a Seat Altea repair manual! Anytime you notice something wrong with you car, youíll have the knowledge and tools to walk you through it!
