The Seat Alhambra is a large vehicle tasked for multi purpose use. It has similar style to that of a minivan, and is known for being extremely safe and spacious. One excellent way of making sure your Alhambra remains safe to drive is by learning how to handle service needs on your own!

Despite beginning production in 1996, the Alhambra model has seen few major changes other than a revamping that started a second generation in 2010. The first generation of Seat Alhambras were created in response to other multi purpose vehicle models that were made by Peugeot, Renault, and Citroen.

They came standard with seven seats, but you have the option of removing all but the two front seats, creating a huge cargo space. Owners had the option between selection a petrol or diesel engine. Initial choices were between a 1.8L four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, or a 1.9L four-cylinder diesel. Towards the end of the first generation, options had since been upgraded to a 2.8L V6 petrol engine or a 2.0L four-cylinder diesel.

Besides engine upgrades, the only other changes the Alhambra experienced were cosmetic style updates in line with Seatís new image in 2000. In 2010, the Alhambra did experience significant changes as the second generation began production. The second generation is larger and wider than the previous Alhambra, and rear doors were now upgraded to sliding doors. There are still options between a petrol and diesel engine, including a 1.4L petrol, a stronger 2.0L petrol, or two different 2.0L diesel engines.

The new Alhambra was so popular that it won several awards in British vehicle magazines. The combination of modern styling, maximum passenger safety, and reliable performance that wonít cost a fortune is what makes the Alhambra such an excellent vehicle choice. The fact that it uses engines designed to reduce emissions is just icing on the cake!

Although the Alhambra is indeed a reliable vehicle, it requires a little extra care to ensure it is running at optimal performance. This is especially the case with first generation models, considering their age. No matter what year or engine type you drive, you can find a Seat Alhambra repair manual to guide you through any servicing you need to do!
