Nissan is a Japanese automobile manufacturing company that was formed in 1933. Nissan is best known for building reliable cars, durable trucks and some of the most exciting sports cars of all time. Introduced for model year 2007, the Nissan Versa is an American version of one of three different Nissan of Japan vehicles, depending on body style. The Nissan Versa is an easy to repair sub-compact car when owners use a Nissan Versa service manual.

The introduction of the Versa in the United States corresponded with changes to Nissan’s traditional sub-compact, the Sentra. As the Sentra had grown in size, Nissan moved the vehicle upmarket, and needed a sub-compact sedan to fill the void. By rebadging the Nissan Tiida as the Versa, the company introduced a new, low cost option for American buyers.

In 2012 and 2013, the Nissan Versa saw newly designed models introduced which were rebadged versions of Japanese models. For sedan models, Nissan rebadged the Latio. A five door hatchback was introduced in 2013, called the Nissan Versa Note, which is a variation of the Nissan Note available in the Japanese Domestic Market.

Owners appreciate the generous interior space offered by the Versa, which proves that a sub-compact car can be roomy and comfortable, while having excellent cargo capacity and fuel efficiency. The name “Versa” was selected to evoke sentiments of versatility, which buyers understood.

In addition to being a great commuter car, the Nissan Versa is very popular in rental car fleets, where the ease of replacing parts and overall great reliability make it ideal for the high-mileage and rough driving that typifies rental car users.

A new design of the Nissan Versa is expected for the 2020 model year, and will now be based on the Japanese market Nissan Micra.

A Nissan Versa repair manual provides the detailed instructions necessary for the home mechanic to service these excellent cars. The manuals feature specifications and helpful information about removing, inspecting and replacing all of the components.
