Production initiated in 1953 as a mid-range luxury car first known as the W120 Ponton. By the 1960’s Mercedes added the “E” suffix, representing Einspritz motor. German for, “Fuel Injected Engine”. With due time the E would become the E to the Class in 1993, giving birth to the Mercedes E-Class. Commonly found in RWD and the Mercedes signature AWD 4Matic system. Due to the E-Class perfected German engineering providing comfort, economy, and durability the E-Class has more than 13 million sold. Proving to be Mercedes most desired model. If your 1 of the 13 million who has Germany’s finest work to date head on over to eManualOnline and check out the Mercedes E-Class Repair Manual. Don't worry we should have enough.

Our first E-Class was available as a 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door coupe, and 2-door convertible. However the coupe and convertible were also found under the Mercedes CLK-Class; what I call the “Mercedes Frankenstein”. Borrowing the mechanics of the C-Class fused with the elegance of the E-Class giving the public a mix of style, affordability, and economy.

With the use of a lightweight (at the time) innovative multi-link suspension and aerodynamic wind tunneled perfected slipstream body, the E-Class became a European staple. Mercedes also took on the role of pioneering the reduction of harmful emissions with its standard 3 way catalytic converter causing Americans to also love the new E-Class for its easy A+ during Americas dueling emission tests.

E-Class did house various engine blocks from the 2.0 4 cylinder (that was never sold in North America) to the famed and mighty E500’s V8 5.0 and the economic 2.5 Liter Diesel E250.

As a result today’s Mercedes E-Class is IIHS Top Safety Pick with its pioneering safety features such as; Car-to-X, Pre-Safe sound emitting “Pink Noise” to defend ears from loud noises such as accidents, and side impact seat inflating bolsters to reduce impact force. With elegant designed seats that follow the contour of your body and innovative technology integrating the experience of swiping your iPhone on the steering wheel of you Mercedes E-Class it's no wonder other manufacturers cannot topel Mercedes.

The E-Class is a monument to what the automotive industry should be. Always thinking about the you and the experience you will receive. Mercedes E-Class will forever be here to stay and so will eManualOnline with your Mercedes E-Class Service Manual. Check it out and stay classy.
