Fiat is an Italian automobile manufacturing company that originated in 1899. Fiat is best known for it’s range of small, sporty cars and success in rally racing competitions. The Fiat Multipla is a compact Multi Passenger Vehicle known equally for it’s unique styling as for it’s impressive passenger and cargo space. A Fiat Multipla workshop manual provides step by step instructions for maintaining this functional, flexible vehicle.

The Fiat Multipla sold from 1998 to 2010 in most markets, with models being sold until 2013 in China. The Multipla set itself apart from competitiors in many ways. Visually, the compact MPV has been described as a ‘psychotic cartoon duck’, among other names because of the bizarre sculpting of the windshield and hood. The Multipla sold well in European markets, gaining attention for three across-two row seating. The interiors flexible design allowed for cargo capacity of 430 liters with the seats in the standard position, up to 1,900 liters with the seat removed. In this configuration, the Multipla offered a flat floor space that was intended for carrying a load.

In 2004, the Fiat Multipla was restyled in response to heavy criticism of the original model. The new design is contemporary and lacks the oddity that gained the early models a cult-like following of enthusiasts. Despite being awarded as the “Ugliest Car” by the British comedy/ car show “Top Gear,” the show also recognized the Fiat Multipla as it’s “Car of the Year” in 2000, and “Family Car of the Year” from 2001 until the restyled 2004 model. The incredibly useful and adaptable interior so impressed Jeremy Clarkson, former Top Gear host that he named the Fiat Multipla as the “Family car of the Moment” on the final episode of his own show.

Power was provided by a range of Fiat inline four cylinder petrol motors. Earlier models were equipped with either of to engines, with the larger motor producing substantially more torque at low RPM than the smaller engine. A 100 PS inline four cylinder engine was used for one year, 2001, before being replaced by a new model the next year. A Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) version was also available.

A Fiat Multipla service manual is an essential tool for keeping this iconic MPVs on the road. These manuals make it simple for the do-it-yourself mechanic to complete simple maintenance or make complex repairs without having to rely on a repair shop.
