The Uplander received many changes throughout the years. In 2005, the Uplander came standard with a 3.5 liter V6 engine and boasted an impressive 200 horsepower. The longer design and square hood gave it a fresh design. The large grille looked impressive as well. The Chevrolet Uplander came with a four-speed automatic transmission and either a front wheel drive or all wheel drive option.

The 2006 Uplander came standard with a the 3.5 liter engine as well as a more powerful 3.9 liter V6 engine and front wheel drive. The larger engine provided more horsepower. It seated seven passengers with plenty of legroom. It came with standard air conditioning, power windows, radio system and a CD player. There was also a digital media player upgrade.

The 2007 Uplander dropped the 3.5 liter engine option and the 3.9 liter became the standard. The all wheel drive option was also no longer available. A flex fuel option did become available for the 2007 model year however. The 2008 was the last available model year for the Chevrolet Traverse. September 26, 2008 was the last day of production. It contained a tire pressure monitoring system, StabiliTrak system, and Satellite Radio. The 240 horsepower engine contained plenty of power.
